Assigning an Asset Location

To assign a location to an individual or selection of assets:

Create or activate an existing changeset
Select the asset(s) to be located
Click on the location pin icon on the left of the selected asset(s)
The Asset Location panel will open on the lefthand side, listing the available locations. Click on the location you wish to assign
Confirm the assignment in the prompt

Editing an Asset Location Assignment

To amend the location assigned to an asset or selection of assets:

Create or activate an existing changeset
Select the asset(s) to be updated
- For a selection of assets, all assets must currently hold the same location assignment, otherwise the update won't be allowed.
Click on the location pin icon on the left of the selected asset(s)
The Asset Location panel will open on the lefthand side, listing the available locations. Click on the location you wish to assign
- If you wish to update the location to one higher up in current assignment's hierarchy, you need to remove the location assignment by clicking the 'X' and then reassign a location.

To remove the location assigned to an asset or selection of assets:

Create or activate an existing changeset
Select the asset(s) to be updated
- For a selection of assets, all assets must currently hold the same location assignment, otherwise the removal won't be allowed.
Click on the location pin icon on the left of the selected asset(s)
The Asset Location panel will open on the lefthand side, listing the available locations. Click on the 'X' within the currently assigned location
Confirm the removal in the prompt
