Managing 'Scenes'

A scene is used to group data together.

In the main side menu in the 'Point Cloud' list, the user will be presented with the list of scenes. Within these scenes will be the list of point clouds within these scenes.

Point Clouds

Multiple coordinated point clouds can be uploaded into ATLAS using an EPSG to have them federated and geo-positioned correctly on our GIS viewer. These files can be uploaded in one go, or in separate uploads referencing the same scene.

If you do not have an EPSG, you can upload multiple coordinated Point Clouds in one go, in the same scene, to automatically stitch them together. (Note: Be aware that if these non-EPSG Point Clouds are uploaded at separate times, the individual point clouds will appear on top of one another, as there will be no location data to coordinate.)

3D Models with Point Clouds

Furthermore, 3D BIM models can also be uploaded referencing these same scenes to overlay models with point clouds. Again, the same EPGS must also be used for the models and point clouds to overlap.
